On the first day, Pierre Chastanet, Head of Unit for Microelectronics and Photonics Industry at DG CNECT, European Commission, delivered a presentation titled “Future of Photonics in the EU Chips Act.” In his presentation, he highlighted ongoing Photonics Partnership PIC research projects under Horizon Europe, including PICaboo project.
